I didn’t get my period this month.

I’m feeling sick to my stomach for no reason.

There are many different reasons you might be worried about pregnancy. While missing your monthly period is often the first sign of pregnancy for many women, there are other symptoms to look out for that may indicate you’re pregnant.

Top Signs of Pregnancy

During pregnancy, your body goes through many hormonal changes.

These hormones are responsible for supporting and maintaining a healthy pregnancy, but they can also cause physical and emotional symptoms in many women.

If you notice any of the following signs or symptoms, there’s a chance you might be pregnant:

  • Missed menstrual period: Are you still waiting for your period to arrive? This sign is the number one indicator that you might be pregnant. Your body’s hormones will stop ovulation and your period.
  • Tender, swollen breasts: Your breasts may also feel sore or tender to the touch during pregnancy. If your bra is fitting tighter lately or your breasts are more sensitive than usual, it could be a pregnancy symptom.
  • Nausea with/without vomiting: Are you feeling sick to your stomach without a known cause? Pregnancy could be the culprit. Although referred to as “morning sickness,” nausea and/or vomiting associated with pregnancy can strike any time of the day or night.
  • Fatigue: Are you more tired than usual? Have the urge to take naps when you normally have more energy? Pregnancy could be to blame.
  • Increased urination: During pregnancy, your blood volume increases, causing your kidneys to process more fluid. If you’re running to the bathroom more than usual, especially if other pregnancy signs accompany this symptom, you could be pregnant.
